How It Started
The Amfrikan Organization is a nonprofit business serving the needs of Afrocentric individuals and local businesses. The Amfrikan Organization is inspired by a desire to address social determinants of health in low-income communities and to create a business ecosystem that enables local entrepreneurs to thrive. The Amfrikan Organization operates based on the principles of Ubuntu (humanity towards others), a shared Afrikan philosophy on how humans should relate to each other. Ubuntu is fundamental to the operation of the Amfrikan Organization, whether in relations with our members, business partners, donors, or the vulnerable population we serve.

The African Organization is committed to investing at least 70% of all revenues in businesses and programs that serve our members and community.
Our target population consists of Afrocentric adults aged 60 and above and children aged 0-12. Priority will be given to low-income individuals, those living alone, or without family support.
